Gladwin Township Board Meeting

January 21, 2026

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Weaver. Pledge to the flag. All board members present. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Doug Ritchie to accept the December minutes. M/C Treasurer’s report general account $271,154.06 and money market account $46,212.84 Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Doug Ritchie to receive and file the treasurer’s report. M/C. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Jennifer Slabic to pay the bills in the amount of $10,386.70. M/C. Alan Donaldson, county commissioner was not present he was sick.

Discussion regarding the price of our hall rentals especially in the winter. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Jodie Klamer to raise the rental fee to$100 plus a refundable $50 deposit. M/C The clerk will change the schedule of fees.

No activity at the cemetery.

John Mella was present and gave the fireboard report.

Supervisor commented that going forward if anyone has a topic to discuss they need to be put on the agenda. Public comment time is set at 5 minutes to state concern not a back and forth debate.

Scott Frieson was present and asked the board what they know about the solar leasing in the township. Supervisor stated that Gladwin Township is with Gladwin County Zoning and referred him to the county and the board let him know when the commissioner meetings were.

Board of Review will be set in March.
