Gladwin Township Board Meeting

November 19, 2025

 

            Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Weaver.  Pledge to the flag.  All board members present.  Other people that were present were Alan Donaldson, Corey Cuddie, Dawn Chaperon and Paul Lafeyette from Republic.  Motion by Jennifer Slabic seconded by Doug Ritchie to accept the October General Meeting and October special board meeting minutes.  M/C Treasurer’s report general account $282,402.18 and money market account $45,927.24. Motion by Doug Richie seconded by Kristie Simrau to receive and file the treasurer’s report.  M/C.  Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Jennifer Slabic to pay the bills in the amount of $10,800.06.  M/C. Alan Donaldson, county commissioner was present and gave report.  Alan commented that the spongy moth will not be on the winter tax thanks to Jodie for inquiring why we needed it with so much money sitting in the account.

 

            Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Jodie Klamer for Resolution #25- 20 for Gladwin Township’s portion of the Van Drain clean up project.  Roll call vote Klamer-yes, Simrau-yes, Weaver-yes, Slabic-yes and Ritchie-yes;  ayes carried M/C

 

            Cemetery report from Jennifer Slabic – no burials  final mowing was done and trimmed multiple trees.

 

            Fireboard minutes in print.

 

            Supervisor commented back on Old M-30 paving the road commission is requesting possibly $20,000 would be our portion.  Discussion about that and the board does feel that we should contribute for what the road commission has done on Wagarville and Hockaday with no cost to us.  Supervisor will check to see if Hay Township will be paying as well and get a accurate figure before our budget workshop in January.  Jodie mentioned on having a possible road millage for Gladwin Township.

 

            Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Jennifer Slabic to adjourn at 7:45 pm.
