Gladwin Township Board Meeting

September 17, 2025

 

            Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Weaver.  Pledge to the flag.  All board members present.  Other people that were present were Alan Donaldson, Corey Cuddie, John Vanderhagen.  Motion by Jodie Klamer to accept the August minutes with a correction to the Money Market Account should be $45,999.84 seconded by Jennifer Slabic.  M/C Treasurer’s report general account $338,272.58 and money market account $45,643.40. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Kristie Simrau to receive and file the treasurer’s report.  M/C.  Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Jodie Klamer to pay the bills in the amount of $62,896.03.  M/C.

 

            Alan Donaldson, county commissioner, gave his report regarding Master Plan and fund in the spongy moth account.

 

            The garbage bids notice was in the newspaper the last two weeks.  We will be accepting bids until October 13th and open the bids at the October 15th meeting.  Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Jennifer Slabic to approve the election inspectors for the school election on November 4th election Pam Weaver, Kearstin Simrau, Cheryl Edgar and Anne Patsey. M/C.

 

            Cemetery report from Jennifer Slabic – no burials they did one mowing.

 

            No fireboard minutes

 

            The gravel has been done on Youngs Road, McClure and Kern Roads.  Supervisor contacted the 4 people with the blight concerns. Still monitoring them and it is a slow process.  Discussion by the board regarding blight situations.

 

            Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Jennifer Slabic to adjourn at  7:28.
