Gladwin Township Board Meeting

August 20, 2025

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Weaver. Pledge to the flag. All board members present. Other people that were present were Alan Donaldson, Corey Cuddie. Motion by Jennifer Slabic accept the July minutes seconded by Doug Ritchie. M/C Treasurer’s report general account $349,280.31 and money market account $45,499.84. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Kristie Simrau to receive and file the treasurer’s report. M/C. Motion by Doug Richie seconded by Jennifer Slabic to pay the bills in the amount of $9,531.21. M/C.

Alan Donaldson, county commissioner, was present and gave report. Hazardous Waste Day went very well.

Clerk mentioned that the township will be responsible for purchasing new election equipment in the year or two. We will get more information to come.

Jennifer gave the cemetery report. There was one cremation burial.

Supervisor has been following up on the blight concerns. We have had a lot of positive feedback on the double pass brine. We have to submit brine request for next year. Discussion of the double pass brine and we will be adding Shell Road to the double pass along with Nickless, Ridge and Youngs Roads. The gravel work has not been completed yet.

Motion by Jennifer Slabic seconded by Jodie Klamer to adjourn at 6:55.
