Gladwin Township Board Meeting
April 16, 2025
Meeting called to order at 6:30
by Supervisor Weaver. All board members
present except Doug Ritchie. Pledge to the flag. Other people present were Corey Cuddie, John
Vanderhagen
and
Alan Donaldson. Motion by Jodie Klamer
seconded by Jennifer Slabic to approve minutes from
the March meeting. M/C Treasurer’s report was given and the general account is $252,184.29
and Members First Credit Union Savings Account $6,336.90 Members First Credit
Union CD $38,552.04. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Jennifer Slabic to accept and file the treasurer’s report as
presented M/C The
clerk presented the bills to be paid in the amount of $19,283.03. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Jennifer Slabic to pay the bills in the amount of $19,283.03 M/C.
Alan Donaldson, County
Commissioner was present and gave a report.
Alan would like input from the township regarding parks.
Request for property split for
Thomas Oliver on parcel # 080-010-100-003-00 28248 N. Hockaday Road. The split has met all the requirements and
Corey Cuddie, assessor approves the split. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Jodie
Klamer for Resolution #25-15 for property split at 2848 N. Hockaday Road for
Thomas Oliver requesting 5 acres containing a mobile home be split from the 158 acre parent parcel. Roll call vote Klamer-yes; Simrau-yes; Weaver- yes; Slabic-
yes; Ritchie- absent. Ayes M/C. Thomas Oliver was present at the meeting.
Request for property split for
Darcy Bellinger on parcel # 080-020-402-001-21 1626 Dassay
Road. The split has met all the
requirements and Corey Cuddie, assessor, approves the request to split 1.69
acres containing a house and 2 outbuildings from the 107.75
acre parent parcel. Discussion by
the board on conditions of this split because of how it is requested around
buildings. Assessor stated that the
state law requires 1 acre in the split. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by
Jodie Klamer for Resolution #25-16 for property split for Darcy Bellinger
requesting property split for 1.69 acres from the parent parcel of 107.75 acres
at address 1626 Dassay Road. Roll call vote Klamer- yes; Simrau- yes:
Weaver -yes; Slabic- yes; Ritchie – absent. Ayes carried M/C
Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded
by Jodie Klamer to appoint Pam Weaver, Cheryl Edgar, Kearstin Simrau and Anne
Patsey as election inspectors for the May 6th election. M/C.
Clerk mentioned that the hall
rental on April 5th they had left three windows open and the heat
was set at 68 and it was cold outside it was 2 days before Ken found it so that
was a lot of propane usage. Motion by
Jodie Klamer seconded by Jennifer Slabic that the
township retain the $50 deposit to recoup some of that expense. M/C.
Cemetery report given. 2 full burials for Thelma Garber and Beverly
Huth. Jennifer talked to BS&A
regarding computerizing cemetery and they do not have a program right now. Clean up at the cemetery soon.
Supervisor will be checking on
the gravel pricing and what roads we will do this year.
Public comment John Vanderhagen
was present and wanting to see what can be done back on Parkway. He said it is only getting worse. He said it is a major blight issue.
