Gladwin Township Board Meeting

February 19, 2025

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor. All board members were present. Others present Corey Cuddie, Jeremy Cuddie, Alan Donaldson and Garold Klein. Pledge to the flag. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Doug Ritchie to approve minutes from the January meeting. M/C Treasurer’s report was given and the general account is $259,791.46 and Members First Credit Union Savings Account $38,219.34 Members First Credit Union CD $6,291.04. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Doug Ritchie to accept and file the treasurer’s report as presented. M/C. The bills were presented to be paid in the amount of $8,195.53. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Jennifer Slabic to pay the bills in the amount of $8,195.53. M/C.

Alan Donaldson, County Commissioner, was present and gave report. Alan reported that the county will be forming a committee to form a new master plan and that Doug Ritchie was appointed to be a part of the committee.

Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Doug Ritchie for Resolution # 25-01 for the Request for Approval of Computerized Tax Roll by County Treasurer. Roll call vote Klamer-yes; Simrau-yes; Weaver-yes; Slabic-yes; Ritchie-yes. Ayes carried M/C.

Corey Cuddie commented that Gladwin Township has 14 parcels in the assessment district for the 4-Lakes Task Force properties by Old M-30. Assessment change notices are being mailed out. Board of Review for the township will be March 10^th from 9:00 – 3:00 and March 12 from 3:00 – 9:00. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Kristie Simrau to approve the Board of Review Dates. M/C.

The board discussed some renovation items at the township hall. Discussed having the floor stripped and waxed, putting in closet doors in entryway and replacing the front deck. Garold will get us a quote on the front deck.

Had discussion on solar farms in the area.
