Gladwin Township Board Meeting

November 20, 2024

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor. All board members were present. Others present Jennifer Slabic, Corey Cuddie, Jeremy Cuddie, Ron Taylor. Pledge to the flag. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by Doug Ritchie to approve minutes from the October meeting. M/C Treasurer’s report was given and the general account is $259,669.65 and Members First Credit Union Savings Account $37,752.09, Members First Credit Union CD $6,214.72. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Kristie Simrau to accept and file the treasurer’s report as presented. M/C. The bills were presented to be paid in the amount of $9,557.84. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by Jodie Klamer to pay the bills in the amount of $9,557.84. M/C.

Ron Taylor, Commissioner was present and gave report. Thanked the township for working with him and commended the Gladwin Township Board. Discussion regarding a light at M-18 and Wagarville Road talked to Renee Zelt, Supervisor at Sage.

The clerk mentioned that the General Election went very well and no issues. The clerk mentioned about the front porch and how it was slippery when wet the night of election. We may need to look into that porch.

Jennifer gave the cemetery report.

John gave the fireboard report. John mentioned about a discussion at the fireboard meeting regarding the millage rate. John mentioned that he will continue to have the Veterans Affairs pay for the flags for the cemeteries. He mentioned that he ran into Joel Vernier and he said that he has classes for the blight.
