Township Board Meeting
October 16, 2024
Meeting called to order at 6:30
by Supervisor. All board members were
present except Kristie Simrau. Others
present Jennifer Slabic, Chuck Hinman,
Corey Cuddie, Ron Taylor. Pledge to the
flag. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by
John Mella to approve minutes from the September meeting.
M/C Treasurer’s report was given and the general account is $272,577.56 and
Members First Credit Union Savings Account $37,595.94, Members First Credit
Union CD 6,188.41. Motion by Doug
Ritchie seconded by John Mella to accept and file the
treasurer’s report as presented. M/C. The bills were presented to be paid in
the amount of $15,934.41. Motion by John
Mella seconded by Doug Ritchie to pay the bills in
the amount of $15,934.41. M/C.
Ron Taylor, Commissioner was
present and gave report. The county
received a ½ million dollar grant the packet is available.
Doug Ritchie made a motion
seconded by John Mella for Resolution # 24-20 to have
Consumers Energy put a street light on the intersection of Wagarville
and M-30. Klamer-yes, Weaver-yes, Mella-yes, Ritchie-yes and Simrau-absent.
Ayes carried M/C.
Jennifer
gave the cemetery report. Jennifer was
missing a check from Lee-Ramsey they have replaced it. The last mowing was done.
Supervisor
talked about the guardrail along the township property and in front of the
hall. He talked to the road commission
and they would redo it if we paid for it.
Chuck Hinman was present and said he will see what he can find out about
it.
John gave
the fireboard report.
Corey
Cuddie is watching new construction places.
Motion to adjourn at 7:14 by Doug
