Gladwin Township Board Meeting

July 17, 2024

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor. All board members were present. Pledge to the flag. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by John Mella to approve minutes from the June meeting. M/C Treasurer’s report was given and the general account is $344,588.47 and Members First Credit Union Savings Account $6,112.74 Members First Credit Union CD $37,136.32. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by John Mella to accept and file the treasurer’s report as presented. M/C. The clerk presented the bills to be paid in the amount of $19,817.69. Motion by Jodie Klamer seconded by John Mella to pay the bills in the amount of $19,817.69. M/C.

County Commissioner- Ron Taylor was present and gave report. Discussion on Solar Leases. Ron stated that Invenergy Solar Company gave a presentation. The board will be reaching out to this company to be at our August meeting. The clerk will put notice

The clerk will be having Renee Zelt, Cheryl Edgar, Ed Schroeder, Ann Patsey and Phyllis Raymond as election inspectors for the upcoming August 6^th primary election.

John Mella had a couple bids for a new roof on the township hall. The board will discuss this further. John also questioned about the guardrail on the northside of the township hall. Possibly repairing the posts.

John gave the fireboard report.

The gravel for the cemetery was delivered by Arden Shell and Bob leveled with his tractor.

John Clexton, director of the county library was present to promote the upcoming millage.

Board of Review met in earlier this month all board members were present.

Public comment. A few questions on solar leases and on to the library.
