Gladwin Township Board
Meeting
November 16, 2022
Meeting called to order at 6:30
by Supervisor Weaver. All board members
present. Pledge to the flag. Other
people present were Jennifer Slabic, Kyle Grove, Ron
Taylor. Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded
by John Mella to approve minutes from the October meeting.
M/C Treasurer’s
report was given and the general account is $276,152.61 and the money market
account is $41,074.24. Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by Doug Ritchie to accept
and file the treasurer’s report as presented. The clerk presented the bills to be paid in
the amount of $8,569.41. Motion by John Mella seconded by Doug Ritchie to pay the bills in the
amount of $8,569.41. M/C.
County Commissioner, Kyle Grove, and
gave report. Ron Taylor, commissioner
was also present. John Mella questioned regarding the flag pole at the courthouse.
Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded
by John Mella to allow Bob Weaver to rent a skytrack from Midstate Rental for approximately $600 for 24
hours to remove the trees at the Ridge Cemetery. M/C. The clerk had been contacted to rent the
township hall to the youth wrestling for their practices 4 days a week. Discussion was had and the board will decline
do to the age and condition of our hall not a good
idea.
Jennifer Slabic
gave her cemetery report. They had two
cremations one regular and one on Sunday rate.
John Mella
gave the fireboard report. Supervisor
received a request for brine application in the summer. The board agreed to have the same as last
year after Memorial Day and mid July.
Supervisor inquired about asking Lannie Campbell about snowplowing at
the township hall. The board agreed if he
is willing to allow him to do the snowplowing for this winter. Supervisor had a blight complaint on Parkway
Drive and he sent them a letter.
No public comment. Clerk will reach out to Garold
Klein regarding door and windows.
Motion to adjourn at 7:10 pm by
Jodie Klamer seconded by John Mella.
