Gladwin Township Board Meeting

 

August 18, 2021

 

Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Supervisor Weaver.  All board members present except Jodie Klamer her deputy Kenneth Klamer was present. Pledge to the flag.  Other people present were Jennifer Slabic, Kyle Grove, Jessica Aman.  Motion by John Mella seconded by Kristie Simrau to approve minutes from the July meeting. M/C  Treasurer’s report was general account $163,591.52 and money market account $41,060.06.  Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by John Mella to accept and file the treasurer’s report as presented. M/C. Bills presented for payment totaling $18,569.21.  Motion by Kristie Simrau seconded by John Mella to pay the bills in the amount of $18,569.21.  M/C.

Kyle Grove, county commissioner was present and gave report.  Kyle stated that the commissioners hired Mark Justin for financial county administrator.

There were no responses from the letters mailed to the tree removal companies.  The board will have to decide what else can be done.

Jennifer Slabic gave a cemetery report  one cremation and sold some lots.  The mowing was done and the tree cleaned up it took 3 guys and for 2 days.  John Mella mentioned about the burn pit. Discussion regarding the purpose of having it there. 

 John Mella gave the fireboard report.  John stated there would be a ceremony at the fire department on 9/11 in remembrance1. 

Supervisor received a letter from the drain commissioner regarding the Little Sugar Drain.  There was a meeting regarding the review of this drain.   The clerk received the PA 116 report for the county if anyone would like to review.

Public comment, John Mella questioned about what the garbage company picks up.

Motion by Doug Ritchie seconded by John Mella to adjourn at 7:20 pm.
