Garage pickup is every Thursday
Gladwin Township will begin a NEW garbage pick-up service on, January 2, 2026 (day after New Year’s). Each residential house will receive one 95 gallon wheeled container for weekly garbage service. All trashed must be bagged. If you have extra bags that do not fit in the container, please place them next to the cart.
The regular scheduled garbage pick-up day will be Thursdays, with collection occurring between 6 AM and 8 PM, except on holidays and during severe weather conditions. In those situations, collection will take place as soon as possible after the disruption.
Residents may place one bulk item per week without calling it in. If the large items is not collected on your scheduled pick-up day, it will be collected within five days.
Residents may request a second container, but must demonstrate a need for it. If a container is damaged due to resident negligence, the replacement cost is $65.
Holiday Reminder:
If a holiday falls on or before your pick-up day, service will be delayed by one day. Recognized holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
